Mull It Over 015: The Single File
It's Bandcamp Friday, so here's ten essential releases from Northern Ireland for you to enjoy. Featuring Jordan Adetunji and Blue Whale.
Another Bandcamp Friday is upon us. In a happy accident of me arbitrarily deciding to publish this newsletter on a Friday each week, it also happens to be the same day where, on the first Friday of each month, Bandcamp waives its revenue share and artists themselves receive all royalties for their wares. Every month feels like it could be the last one, such is the state of the independent music ecosystem these days. However, while it is here, I will continue to curate a list of all the latest, essential releases from Northern Ireland, so you don’t have to. You should be paying for this.
Last month was a monster debut for The Single File. We had the brilliant sophomore EP release from Chalk with Conditions II, plus the revelatory debut anthem Bebby from our sad, young, indie whippersnappers Franklin. Both have been on heavy rotation at Mull It Over HQ. You can find last month’s TSF here. Now, here’s ten more to get your weekend started.
As before, where the artist or song/album is not on Bandcamp, I have included their Spotify link. You can also follow the official playlist below.
Disclaimer: Although this feature is called The Single File, I am now also including albums. Stop making sense.
